1970 Mopar B - Body Muscle Car Exhaust Systems
For the 1970 Model year we concentrate our interest on all three of the1970 model Mopar Muscle Car Exhaust Systems the 426 system comes with the correct 2 1/2" H - Pipe with correct flats for the torsion bar, correct welded on heat nipple, correct welded in cross over pipe, correct flanges our H - Pipe necks down to 2 1/ 4" where it goes into the muffler because that is the way it was done. The tail pipes on the HEMI cars used a 2 1/4" tail pipe with a resonator on the end. We have reproduced the resonator and tail pipe. A chrome tip was used on the hemi cars to give the tail pipe that finished look.
440 Exhaust System
Our 1970 440 Exhaust System comes with the correct 2 1 /2" H - Pipe with correct flats on the bottom and correct flat on the left side for the torsion bar. This system also includes the correct welded on flanges and cross over pipe. Like the HEMI system this H - Pipe is necked down to 2 1/4" where it goes into the muffler. The tail pipes on the 440 cars came 2 ways the standard tail pipe was a 2 1/4" tail pipe that reduced to 2" after it went over the axle and was angle cut at the end. This system is referred to as a non decor package. The decor package used a 2 1/4" tail pipe that was expended at the end and slit to accept a chrome tip. This was standard on the GTX and was on option on other B - Body cars of this year.
383 Exhaust System
Our 1970 383 Exhaust System comes with the correct 2 1/4" head pipes with correct welded on flanges there were no flats in the 383 pipes. The tail pipes on the 383 were either the decor package tail pipe or the non decor package as made reference to above n the 440 system.
Components:
Any of the systems listed above come with the correct style mufflers dated coede with correct flats on the side, correct loop or non loop hangers (383), correct rounded bottom style mopar clamps, installation instructions, diagrams and sealant.
