1956 - 1957 Corvette Exhaust Systems
These systems consisted of 2" front pipes, 2" intermediate pipes, and 1 7/8"tail pipes and tail pipe extensions. The early 1956 Corvettes used a welded on 2 stud flange but later changed to a welded on three bolt and then possibly a floating flange. We have yet to come up with original head pipes for the early 56's Our 1957 Exhaust system comes as pictured below with correct front pipes, flanges, extensions, donuts, intermediate pipes, tail pipes, extensions and mufflers. Correct hangers and clamps can be optioned for with one of our entire exhaust systems. Original systems came with the choice of two mufflers the standard muffler or the off road which came standard on your solid lifter two 4bbl. cars and high performance fuel injected cars. These cars also were outfited with a h-pipe per say. The right and left head pipes had to little nipples welded to them in the front and a two pipes that made up a cross over pipe were clamped on them and connected inthe middle. This system is also available with all the correct components and hardware.
